Healing Hands Reiki

A reiki session is like a system reboot for the nervous system.
Effective at lowering cortisol, it helps move the body from ‘survival’ mode back into a state of deep restorative rest.

🌿 Your First Reiki Session: A Guide to the Experience

If you’ve never had energy work before, it’s completely normal to be curious. Here is a step-by-step look at what your time in my space will look like.

1. The Arrival & Intentions

We’ll start with a brief, gentle conversation. You don’t have to share your whole life story—just a simple check-in on how you’re feeling physically and emotionally. We can set the intention for the session, like finding peace or releasing tension.

2. Getting Comfortable

You will remain fully clothed throughout the session on a comfortable massage table, supported by pillows and a soft blanket. The goal is for you to feel completely safe and relaxed.

3. The Session

Hands are placed lightly on or just above specific energy centers (chakras) on your body.

You may experience:

  • Gentle warmth
  • Tingling sensations
  • Waves of relaxation

Sessions may include:

  • Relaxing music with hertz frequency
  • Crystals
  • Tingsha bells
  • Tuning forks
  • Peacock feathers (for clearing energy blocks)

You might drift into a meditative state or even light sleep—this indicates deep restorative work.

4. The Closing

As the session ends, you’ll be gently grounded back into the room.

  • Take your time waking up
  • Sip some water
  • No rush to leave
  • Optional discussion about your experience

5. Aftercare

Reiki continues to work after the session.

Recommendations:

  • Drink plenty of water
  • Take it easy for the rest of the day
  • Notice changes in mood or sleep over the next 48 hours
